LOOK: Celebrities troop to the polls

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 13) — Stars took some time off to troop to the polls along with million of Filipinos to elect the country’s next leaders on Monday.

Leading the pack are celebrities with connections to political figures, like Vic Sotto, father of Pasig City mayoralty bet Vico Sotto, and Heart Evangelista, who accompanied her husband Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero to the polls.

Luis Manzano voted with his parents Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto and Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos.

The General’s Daughter” star Angel Locsin, who is related to senatorial candidate and former Bayan Muna party-list Rep. Neri Colmenares, took to Instagram to show her index finger stained with indelible ink.

Actress Agot Isidro, the girlfriend of former Solicitor General Florin “Pilo” Hilbay, who is running for senator under opposition slate Otso Diretso, did the same on Twitter.

Meanwhile, actress Mariel Padilla shared on Instagram that she and her husband, actor Robin Padilla, woke up early as she wanted to be the first to cast her vote at her precinct.

On the other hand, Solenn Heusaff, while sharing on Instagram that she voted, also claimed that her friend’s voting receipt showed two candidates that she did not vote for.

Saab Magalona shared a photo of her on Twitter which she captioned with “I am indelible.”

Binibining Pilipinas candidate Maria Isabela Galeria showed on Instagram that she also voted, getting her glittered-nail stained with indelible ink.

Julia Barretto, Matteo Guidicelli and Alex Gonzaga also shared that they voted.
